Project for project delivery for one of the Italian company of Maire Technimont group of companies to the address "Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez", Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod region.

RTL organized delivery from 16 countries: Spain, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Poland, Czech Republic, Greece, Turkey, Romania, South Korea, China, Vietnam, India and Malaysia.

The project is still in the implementation phase. Oversized and exceptional equipment, including reactors from Romania with a weight of about 500 tons, was delivered in 2019. Shipments were carried out by sea-river vessels from 5 Italian ports, oversized equipment was transported by ocean vessels from Vietnam, South Korea and China.

For the project was provided transportations of project equipment in containers of various typologies.

During 2019 the project carried out more than 500 direct trucking deliveries from European countries, of which 90 trucks with oversized equipment.

To implement the multimodal scheme of transportation of this component as part of a single vessel shipment, our specialists took the following steps:

  • Consolidation of cargo coming by road from manufacturers in Germany, in the port of Bremen.
  • Chartering a river-sea class vessel for sea transportation as the shipload accumulated in the port territory.
  • Loading equipment on the vessel according to the developed plan of cargo placement and fastening on board.
  • Unloading of the power equipment at the port of destination - Azov, Russia. Unloading operations were performed in two one-time flows:
    - heavy lift cargo, generators, were unloaded from the vessel by two car cranes, in the mode of paired work, to specialized vehicles which transported them to the temporary storage, where the other two cranes unloaded OSHL positions from vehicles to the site (also in the mode of paired operation);
    - all other cargo packages were unloaded from the vessel to the berth using a gantry crane.

    All processes were carried out in accordance with a pre-developed Method Statement.
  • Road transportation to the final port of destination, Nevinnomyssk, involving low-bed semi-trailers and modular trailers.

For the transportation of oversized equipment, we obtained special permits in advance. As for heavy positions, due to significant load on bridge structures, we had to develop special project with the calculation of the bearing capacity of engineering structures along the route.
