DELIVERY OF THERMAL VACUUM CHAMBER

RTL team has successfully delivered sections of Thermal Vacuum Chamber for simulation of space environment conditions, for testing of satellite equipment within framework of SPHERE project, announced in 2018 by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

During 58 days, oversized cargo has travelled more than 5.5 thousand km along seas, rivers and roads from Ortona city (Italy) to Shchelkovo (near to Moscow, Russia). Cargo has visited three ports, has changed mode of transport four times and has passed on river vessel through the heart of capital of the Russian Federation.

Final section of on-shore transportation route took place along the Moscow Ring Road (MRR, «MKAD» in Russian), via Shchelkovskoye highway to point of unloading. Transportation of oversized cargo with 9.9 meters wide was executed along MRR, where heavy traffic is twenty-four-hour – this is the historical case.  With reference to this, an unprecedented amount of traffic police officers and vehicles were involved in arrangement of safe moving.

Among complications of project is also the river transportation along the Moscow canal during navigation closure period, as well as obtaining special permits for trucking of oversized cargo. Despite a range of permanent failures of system and almost complete paralysis of mechanism for issuing special permits (due to introduction of new procedure for obtaining documents by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation), RTL had a success in approving the route and obtaining the special permits in shortest possible time.

Our team has quickly and well-coordinated completed this project in full accordance with initial task.
