DELIVERY OF WASTE HEAT BOILER PARTS TO KINGISEPP, LENINGRAD REGION

In September 2015 was implemented delivery of heavy equipment - parts of a waste heat boiler from Mumbai (India) to Kingisepp (Russia) via Ust-Luga port.

12 units with a total weight of more than 322 tons were accepted for transportation in the port of Mumbai, the weight of the heaviest unit was more than 194 tons, the dimensions of the unit were 810 x 530 x 530 cm. The transit time from the port of Mumbai to the port of Ust-Luga was 41 days, during which time RTL employees made a tremendous job of organizing transportation, coordinating transshipment and transportation projects, studying the route, and visiting the construction site of the consignee.

Upon arrival of the ocean vessel with cargo to Ust-Luga port, unloading was organized on trucks. The difficulty of transporting pf unit weighing more than 194 tons was that at the exit from the port there is a non-demountable cable pipeline, which had to be overcome on a low-frame 12-axle trailer. After overcoming the cable pipeline, the cargo was reloaded by rigging to another 18-axle trailer, which guaranteed the passage of bridges and federal highways without damages. The rigging work was carried out by the RTL Company. It should be noted that unloading in Kingisepp on the territory of the construction site was also the responsibility of RTL under the terms of the contract. Cargo transportation from the port of Ust-Luga to Kingsepp took 7 days. Thus, the total transit time of the project was 48 days.

The client of RTL LLC for this project was LLC PG Phosphorit, which is part of the EuroChem Group of companies. The terms set by the contract were met, and the client was satisfied with the quality of the services provided.
