Delivery of equipment for the construction of a hydrogen peroxide plant for Volga Peroxide LLC in Novocheboksarsk, Russia
The RTL team has implemented a technological equipment delivery project for the construction of a hydrogen peroxide production plant for Volga Peroxide LLC in Novocheboksarsk, Russia.
This plant implies an anthraquinone method of hydrogen production and is a part of the government’s action plan for import substitution in the chemical industry of the Russian Federation.
RTL delivered the equipment from the cargo consolidation site in Europe to the construction site in Russia and performed customs clearance.
11 cargo packages totaling 170 tons were accepted in the port of Constanta, Romania and transported to the port of Rostov-on-Don, Russia. After it was reloaded onto a barge, the cargo headed to Novocheboksarsk.
In Novocheboksarsk, we carried out the unloading by cranes at the consignee's plant-owned berth. For unloading, we used state-of-the-art crane equipment with a lifting capacity of 550 tons, and an outreach of up to 56 meters. The operations took about 5 hours.
For delivery from the berth to the storage located on the territory of the consignee's plant, we used the purpose-built vehicles and operated at night.
The plant is expected to produce 50,000 tons of hydrogen peroxide per year, which will meet the demand for environmentally friendly bleaching agents in the textile and paper industries. The social impact of the project is rather significant: 110 new jobs for the region.
