DELIVERY OF A MODERN BLAST FURNACE TO A FACTORY UNDER CONSTRUCTION IN NIZHNY NOVGOROD REGION

In the navigation of 2023, RTL delivered two OOG units to the steel plant under construction.

This equipment is a modern analogue of blast furnace.

The equipment arrived on the ocean vessel at MMPK «Bronka» where transshipment on the barge with the help of ship cranes was made.

After the transshipment the barge with the equipment went to the Gulf of Finland and stood in the Petrovsky Fairway waiting for midnight to go further on the Neva River and get through the Ladoga and Onega Seas, Rybinskoe and Gorky reservoirs to the Volga River.

And, in the heart of Nizhny Novgorod, on the place where the two rivers Volga and Oka join, the barge-towing train turned towards the final point on the water route - the special berth at the Oka shipyard

Preparations for the reception of the barge towing convoy were under way at the special berth. After mooring the barge and carrying out ballast work under the first oversized unit, a couple of self-propelled modules were put in parallel for rolling out equipment from the barge to the territory of вerth. The second oversized unit was pumped out in the same way.

The final stage from the special pier to the construction site was ground and took two nights. According to the rules of transportation of oversized equipment on public roads of such a scale, transport is allowed only at night between 00:00 - 05:00. The bypass of the convoy was agreed in advance in the control and supervision authorities, permissions were obtained for the passage of railway tracks, installation and dismantling of high-voltage power lines, which represented an obstacle on the route.
